Summary: This week Horrible Histories charts the path towards true love - and some of history's biggest and most ridiculous romantics are in the spotlight. With his woeful record for choosing the right woman, Henry VIII enlists the help of Maître d' Fred Sirieix as he tries to find the right wife on Historic First Dates. Elsewhere, we sample some Medieval Munich Love Magic and watch as King Alfonso of Spain's wedding takes a turn he's not expecting.

  • Medieval Bavaria has a very strange custom of finding love.

  • Historical First Dates: Henry VIII and Wife 2: Henry falls in love with Anne Boleyn and goes to a great length to marry her.

  • HHTV News: The British Royal Wedding of 1736 has plenty of positives, whilst the couple found the event not so idealistic, and in fact a bit nauseating!

  • The Sacred Band of Thebes get into their own fights as they learn being a Greek army of couples has its downsides.

  • Now That's What I Call Real Love Letters from History highlights many of the actual love letters written to loved ones - from Ancient Egypt through to Tsar Nicholas II, these unique letters are put to music.

  • Historical First Dates: Henry VIII and Wives 3 & 4: Could Henry finally meet the one? The especially, special, special one?

  • Alfonso III's bride has unexpectedly sent a male stand-in as she can't make it, but things soon get confusing for the Spanish King and stressful for the Vicar.

  • Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette's post-wedding private time is made more difficult by their courtiers, who find themselves giving some fishy tips on how to kiss a woman.

  • Historical First Dates: Henry VIII and Wives 5 & 6: Henry goes through two more wives, but at his old age is it too late to be looking for love?
