Episodes
In between series 6 and 7 the BBC aired 3 special episodes in 2016, each marking an occasion.
The first special marked 400 years since Shakespeare’s death and saw Tom Stourton take on the role of the bard in a 35-minute special in April. One of the sketches was later performed live on BBC 2s Shakespeare 400 show.
In July the show joined the BBCs ‘Love to Read’ campaign and CBBCs ‘Awesome Authors’ event with a themed special about storytelling. Finally in September, a special episode marked 350 years since the Great Fire of London with guest-star Robert Webb as Sir Christopher Wren joining the team.
