Series 6
SUMMARY:
In February 2015 the much-loved Horrible Histories made a return to TV, after airing what, at the time was thought to be, it’s last episode in 2013. The show came back re-designed, with a new cast and a new ideas! As of Series 6, episodes have revolved around different events or themes, the sixth series looking at twelve rotten rulers with the usual 3 highlights specials.

The sixth series saw six guest-stars; including the well-known Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean) take the main role each episode starring as the historical figure the episode revolves around. Alongside these six, original HH members Jim Howick, Simon Farnaby, Lawry Lewin (all of whom also had other recurring roles in most episodes) and Sarah Hadland, alongside main cast member Jessica Ransom, all filled in the gaps to play the other rulers, Jim Howick playing both Napoleon and Churchill.

Although re-designed, both old and new recurring sketches were seen and of course Rattus Rattus and many animated characters in between sketches were present to guide the way. The opening credits were slightly re-designed with new boxes, a purple background and for Series 6 only a few lyrics were changed.

The series saw Ben Miller, Tom Rosenthal, Kevin Eldon, Rowan Atkinson, Kathryn Drysdale and Lorna Watson guest-star, each playing a rotten ruler alongside Jim Howick, Simon Farnaby, Sarah Hadland, Lawry Lewin and Jessica Ransom.

There were three new faces to the main cast, alongside Jalaal Hartley and Jessica Ransom who had been extras since Series 4, now becoming main members. Hartley, Ransom and Tom Stourton remained main cast members into Series 7, whilst Adam Riches and Naz Osmaoglu just appeared in Series 6.

Many original supporting cast members starred including Dominque Moore and Giles Terera. Sanjeev Bhaskar also made a couple of guest appearances through the Series.
